Creative Writing

Objectives

Take time to notice the ordinary-extraordinary things. Goethe, in ‘The Poet’s Year’ talks about making the reader observant of things which; “recur as ordinary and familiar”. Rodin’s advice to the Poet Rilke was to simply “regard and observe”.
-T. Byron K.

"Novelist Nadine Gordimer has called writing the most solitary of occupations, comparable only to that of lighthouse keeper."
-Linda Anderson-Creative Writing-A Workbook With Readings

"Just trust your own voice. And keep exploring the things that are interesting to you."
-Nikki Giovanni
